I’m not sure what came over me today? PMS? Maybe the food I ate last night?
I didn’t have to work until 1pm today. I had planned on enjoying the nice weather and get in a walk outside today on top of other errands before work. None of that happened thanks to a craptastic night of sleep. I was up early to let the dog out then fell back asleep off and on. I was not in the mood for much of anything for breakfast. I think the “bad” of last night’s meal was still hindering over me. BUT the one thing that was good (and I thankfully had leftovers) sounded to be the perfect breakfast. Yes, that’s right, I had what was left of the chocolate peanut butter pie from last night! Bad choice #1.
Work flew by. I still wasn’t super hungry but wanted something quick and easy. Bad choice #2 included a back of Doritos and a diet Dr. Pepper for lunch. Really? Gross. I had one more meal left to save myself of junk for the day and was stuck at the mall until 9:30pm working. This is where Fresh healthy Café saved my day!
Don’t mind the crappy iPhone pic please! This is the sign next to the café. It’s secluded down the hallway right in front of Dicks Sporting Goods. The café was hoping and I felt a bit odd taking pics with my cell phone… next time!
This place is amazing! They have fresh made juice, a billion (exaggerating a bit there) different types of smoothies and even fortifiers you can add to a list of meals which can be ate as a salad, on a wrap or a Panini (turkey avocado my fav!) Check out their menu here. Since I had the wonderful day of consuming nasty crap, I went for my favorite green smoothie. I know I know I should have been a bit adventurous and try something new, but I knew this would hit the spot. A Super Smoothie called Jolly Green Kiwi.
This smoothie was made of”:
- kiwi juice
- raspberry sorbet
- wheat grass
Finally, something fresh to end my (random) day
